Promotes social and economic self-sufficiency for American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and Native American Pacific Islanders. Funding supports community-based projects that address locally-determined needs including economic development, social development, and governance.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a federally recognized tribe, Native nonprofit, or other eligible Native organization
  • Must demonstrate community support for the project
  • 20% non-federal match required
