Supports community-driven projects that preserve, revitalize, and maintain Native languages. Funding can be used for language documentation, curriculum development, teacher training, language immersion programs, and community language classes.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a federally recognized tribe, Native nonprofit, or tribal college
- Must have a language preservation plan
- 20% non-federal match required
